KUCHING, June 2: A man injured his foot while trying to put out a fire at a car workshop at Lot 1518, Jalan Pujut 1A, in Miri on Sunday (June 1).
In a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) report, an emergency call was received at 7.15pm and firefighters from the Miri station were deployed.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the incident occurred when the victim was trying to prevent a fire from spreading.
The victim was found safe and was given initial treatment before he was brought to Miri Hospital. He was reported to have suffered an injury to his toe after stepping on a nail while trying to put out the fire.
The fire was extinguished before firefighters’ arrival, and the cause of the incident is being investigated. — DayakDaily
