Works Minister Nanta honoured with Great Asean Distinguished Leadership Award 2025

KUCHING, Nov 28: Minister of Works Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has been conferred the Great Asean Distinguished Leadership Award 2025 by the Asean Economic Club & KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific.

In a Facebook post today, he expressed that it was an honour to receive the recognition, alongside Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, former Governor of Penang, during the gathering held in Kuala Lumpur recently.

“This award is not just for me, but for the entire Ministry of Works team who continuously strive to strengthen Malaysia’s infrastructure, connectivity, and regional cooperation.

“Let us continue working together to build a more sustainable, competitive, and connected Asean,” he said.

Nanta, who is also the MP for Kapit, added that the presence of other leaders, policymakers, and captains of industry from across Asean made the evening even more meaningful. — DayakDaily
