KUCHING, Oct 28: The Works Ministry (KKR) has received 3,403 complaints through the MYJalan application from Aug 1 to Oct 23.

Its minister, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, in a Facebook post today, said among the complaints received involve potholes, damaged signage, and many others.

“All these complaints involve roads under the supervision of KKR through the Public Works Department (JKR) and Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM), in addition to state roads and local authority roads (PBT) respectively under the jurisdiction of state and local government (PBT) involved.

“Out of the total number of complaints, only 26.8 per cent or 912 complaints involved roads operated by the KKR agency, while the remaining 73.2 per cent (2,491 complaints) were state and PBT roads,” he said.

He said that under the ‘No Wrong Door Policy’ implemented in the MYJalan application, all complaints received are forwarded to the responsible parties.

He also said this ensures that action can be taken for every road-related issue immediately.

“As such, I hope more users can download the MYJalan application on Google Play Store, Apple App Store or Huawei AppGallery,” he added. — DayakDaily
