SELANGAU, June 22: A woman was injured when the driver of the vehicle she was in lost control and overturned into a drain near the Mukah-Selangau junction today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to the emergency at 12.08pm and immediately mobilised a team of firefighters from the Selangau Station to the scene.
Initial reports indicated that the driver lost control of their MPV, causing it to crash and overturn into the drain.
The driver had already exited the vehicle by the time firefighters arrived.
However, the woman, who is a stroke patient, required assistance. Firefighters successfully extracted her from the overturned vehicle and transferred her to waiting paramedics for further treatment. — DayakDaily
