MIRI, Jan 26: A woman has been found dead in a locked residence in Bandar Baru Permyjaya last night after firefighters were called in to assist with gaining entry.
According to Lutong Fire Chief Henry Jugah, the station received an emergency call at approximately 9.55pm.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the team confirmed reports of a locked gate obstructing entry.
Following a safety assessment, the firefighters used a power saw to cut through the locked fence and open the gate to gain entry into the residence.
Inside the property, a 42-year-old woman, reportedly weighing 134kg, was found lying unconscious on a bed.
Medical personnel at the scene later confirmed that the woman had died.
Her body was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation. – DayakDaily
