KUCHING, Feb 23: A 25-year-old woman was arrested by the police for selling illegal lottery tickets at Bau Hawker Centre yesterday.
The suspect was caught red-handed selling lottery tickets in public, when police personnel approached her at the centre around 5pm.
Several items such as papers and pen, believed to be used for taking down the lottery numbers from buyers, cash and others, were confiscated during the arrest.
The case is being investigated under Section 4A(a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953. — DayakDaily
