KUCHING, Nov 23: The winners for those chosen to host watch parties involving the Sarawak International Festival of Music and Arts (SIFMA 2.0) are expected to be announced soon.

According to a statement, the event gave watch party hosts the chance to win prizes for the best host in venue, home or vendor and community fun moments at SIFMA2.0.

Meanwhile, audiences around the world were able to watch SIFMA 2.0 through virtual and live performances through online streaming known as “watch parties” across various locations and venues.

The event was livestreamed at different locations via its venue partners, vendors and home parties on Nov 21, a day after it was launched.

Audiences who registered to watch the event enjoyed the concert from multiple SIFMA venue host partners while those who watched from their homes had an amazing array of deals from vendor partners to choose from.

The audiences also headed to various locations like The Junk Mini Bazaar, Megalanes Adventure World, La Promenade Mall, Aeon Mall Kuching Central, Plaza Merdeka, The Waterfront Hotel, Biddy’s Cafe, UCSI Hotel, Grand Margherita Hotel, Grandma Bak Kut Teh, Outright Coffee Sibu, Coco Cabana Miri and Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Other hotels that hosted watch parties in Kuching were Grand Margherita Hotel at its Rajang Terrace and UCSI Hotel at the lobby lounge.

SIFMA had collaborated with many vendors to spice up the virtual concert at home.

Those who watched from their homes had a wide choice of deals from vendor partners like Vera Craft, Goodness Gracious, 1006 Table, Budak Gemuk Street Burgers, Ta Ko Boi Kuching, Fruitastic, Pinggai Cafe, Penn’s Pantry, 20skitchen, KuyaBites, Pondok Bario, Beats Dance & Vocal Studio, Oinks, Al dente, GoGeena Café & Catering, Nuromen Café, Oriental Tea, Three tea Ice Cream Kuching, Chubss & Chill, Sadiqin Lim Kampua, Culinary Heritage & Arts Society Sarawak, Penan Women Project, Bing! SIFMA 2.0 kicked off on Nov 20 at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building with top performers from different parts of the globe with virtual and live performances.

The event was launched by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
