KUCHING, June 28: Even though July 30 is the Coronation Day of the King and has been declared a public holiday, Sarawak has yet to make an announcement on this matter.
In a press statement, Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Ismail Bakar announced that July 30 is an additional public holiday.
The day has been made a public holiday under Section 8 of the Holidays Act 1951 for Peninsular Malaysia.
As for Sarawak and Sabah, the state governments will make its decision based on its own state laws. — DayakDaily
