MIRI, March 14: Widening works on four road junctions connecting to Jalan Utama Krokop here have been completed.
Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang said the enlarged junctions would help ease traffic flow around the area when met on Tuesday after inspecting the site of the road upgrades.
He was accompanied by Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Krokop branch chief, Councilior Vincent Huang Huat Choon, and SUPP Pujut Youth Chief Kevin Hii Shin Yang.
“I believe that with the completion of these projects, it will help mitigate the traffic congestion that frequently occurs along this area,” he said.
Yii has also given his assurance that allocations would given for more facelift works to ensure smoother traffic flow in the city area. — DayakDaily
