What About Kuching 2024 to hold satellite mini-festival in Miri from Aug 1–4

MIRI, July 2: What About Kuching (WAK) will hold a satellite mini-festival in Miri for four days from August 1–4 at Coco Cabana and other locations.

According to Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang in a TVS news report on July 1, the festival aims to unite arts enthusiasts and the creative community, which will indirectly promote Miri as a liveable resort city.

“As an open-access festival platform dedicated to art, culture, and lifestyle, WAK Miri welcomes many creative communities in Miri and the surrounding areas to be part of the exciting celebrations in line with Miri’s vision to become a green, smart, and ideal international resort city to live in,” he said.

He said this during a press conference on WAK Miri on July 1.

Earlier in March, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah announced that WAK will have satellite mini-festivals in Sibu and Miri in June and August, respectively. — DayakDaily
