KUCHING, May 7: The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning to several districts of southern Sarawak, which is valid until 10am.
According to the advisory notice released by MetMalaysia at 7.20am today, Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Betong are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.
The warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with a downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
