SEBUYAU, March 20:  Water woes will be a thing of the past once the four booster pumps have been completed at Ladong, Sebangan, Tebelu and Sebuyau respectively.

This is disclosed by Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Julaihi Narawi who also pointed out that the laying of the main water pipes from Kuching to Samarahan has been completed.

“For the state water grid system in the Sebuyau area, we will have four booster pumps one each in Ladong, Sebangan, Tebelu and Sebuyau,” he said.

The project will greatly benefit the people, he added.

The Sebuyau assemblyman said the Sarawak government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is mindful of its obligation to bring development to the people.

In view of this, he pointed out that the state government has a thorough development plan to be implemented for the people.

“We in the GPS government have a thorough development plan to be implemented and which are also progressing well because we are mindful of the obligation to bring development to the people,” he said.

Julaihi said this on his working visit to two project sites in the constituency on Wednesday evening.

The projects that he visited are the projects under Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) namely construction of a Community Hall at Kampung Lubok Manta Hilir and a completed Kampung Lubok Manta Atas road project.

Accompanying Julaihi during the visit were Sarawak Administrative Officer (SAO) from Sebuyau sub-district office Ajis Ahmad, senior officers from Samarahan Public Works Department (JKR) and local community leaders. — DayakDaily
