KUCHING, Nov 7: Parti Warisan is optimistic that the proposal to revive ‘Borneo Block’ can be realised following a positive response from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

Parti Warisan vice president Datuk Junz Wong confirmed that Warisan and GPS leaders had a meeting last week.

“Warisan is the only party (in Sabah) that does not work together with any party from the Peninsular and remains with the same principles as GPS,” TVS quoted him during a press conference held in Sandakan recently.

Meanwhile, Junz opined that GPS would not work with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) party.

“I don’t think they will cooperate to form the ‘Borneo Bloc’ because GPS leaders clearly do not want to join any party from the Peninsular while GRS itself is Bersatu, and they also cooperate with Barisan Nasional (BN), which is a party from the Peninsular,” he explained. — DayakDaily
