KUCHING, Sept 6: PBB Women chief Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah calls for the party’s women wing members in Asajaya to remind voters not to repeat the mistake of voting for the opposition.

According to Fatimah, during the previous election, voters threw their support behind the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition just for the sake of changing the government but the coalition failed after just 22 months in power.

“…after PH took over the government, a lot of their manifesto promises that were made to the rakyat was not fulfilled. Apart from that, the country’s economy during PH times also slumped, and the welfare of the people was neglected, including the cancellation of infrastructure projects that would benefit the people.

“That is why we must remind our voters to not make the same mistake again (by voting for the wrong party),” said the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) senior leader in her speech when attending the N.15 Asajaya “Sarawak Kita Empun” programme held at the Kota Samarahan Civic Centre, today.

On another note, Fatimah reminded the Asajaya PBB Women members to be active and be prepared for the coming state election that could be called anytime soon.

She noted the party and the respective branch operation rooms should already be open by now to determine their respective tasks, and to ensure the smoothness of the operation, including the preparation for the election.

The N.15 Asajaya “Sarawak Kita Empun” programme, which was attended by members from more than 20 PBB Women, included a discussion on three key points, namely the current political landscape, the campaigning process under the new norm, and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) initiatives.

Also present were PBB Women deputy chief Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, PBB Women treasurer and Samariang assemblywoman Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Gazali, Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang and other guests. — DayakDaily
