KUCHING, Sept 15: A video showing two men stealing window frames from a house at Arang Road in broad daylight has gone viral, raising fresh concerns over neighbourhood security.

The over two-minute clip, uploaded by the MyKuching Facebook page, captured the brazen act believed to have been recorded by a resident from the upper floor of a neighbouring house.

In the footage, one man can be seen standing outside the gate of the house next to a motorcycle, apparently keeping watch, while another was inside the compound dismantling and removing the window frames.

The men appeared undeterred despite committing the theft in broad daylight.

Democratic Action Party (DAP) Arang Branch chairman and DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) Stampin chief Soo Tien Ren, in a statement today, said the incident happened at Arang Road, Lane 13H4.

The case has sparked outrage among netizens, with many commenting on the boldness of the crime and calling for stronger enforcement to curb such cases.

As of press time, it is unclear whether a police report has been lodged over the incident. – DayakDaily
