KUCHING, Feb 22: Assistant Minister of Transport Dato Henry Harry Jinep conducted a working visit to Tasik Biru on Sunday (Feb 20) to learn more about proposed development plans in the constituency.

His arrival was welcomed by Bau District Officer-cum-Bau District Council (MDB) chairwoman Anielia Siam, and representatives of various government agencies.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Henry was given a briefing by Anielia on the proposed improvements to be made by MDB including building a new carpark.

Anielia added that MDB also plans to build a new connecting road from the Bau District Office Complex to Tasik Biru as an alternative route which can be used to ease the flow of traffic.

Meanwhile, Henry, who is also the Tasik Biru assemblyman, wants a stall site to be built to assist locals interested in doing business as Tasik Biru is seeing the arrival of many visitors.

The assemblyman and his entourage then did a survey around Tasik Biru, followed by a survey of the construction site for the Gold Mining Museum and Park. — DayakDaily
