Vaccinated individuals less severely infected despite surge in Covid-19 cases

KUCHING, Sept 7: With over 80 per cent of Sarawakians being fully vaccinated against Covid-19, it is hoped that severity of infections would be low despite a surge in number of daily infections in the State.

Political analyst Dato Peter Minos said even if those who have been vaccinated get infected, only some would be hospitalised.

“At worst, few would go for (sic) ICU stage and none to death, unless the patients had other serious ailments,” he said in a statement today.

He was also expressed his delight to see Prime Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob lead the nation while his predecessor Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was appointed to lead the economic recovery council.

“The duo make a wise combination, generating a sense of calm and stability in the nation and a hope for salvation and deliverance from the Covid-19 suffering currently afflicting us all,” he added. — DayakDaily
