Kagan emphasised the importance of enhancing collaboration in key areas such as clean energy, hydrogen technology, democracy, and community development.

“I am very impressed by the Premier of Sarawak’s deep knowledge of clean energy issues and his commitment to finding solutions for global energy challenges.

“Sarawak has significant potential to be a base for our investments, focusing on sectors such as offshore gas and aerospace,” he said when met by reporters after the courtesy call at the Premier’s office in Menara Pelita here today.

Kagan further noted that his visit coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Sarawak State Library, a project that benefited from American contributions, calling it one of the most successful US-backed initiatives in the region.
