Upgrading of drains to prevent flash floods in Kampung Luak completed

MIRI, April 5: Two drainage projects costing RM350,000 in Kampung Luak to reduce the risk of flash floods have been completed.

Both projects were carried out under Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew’s Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) which approved in 2021.

“Constructions for these projects began in 2022 and thankfully, they have been completed according to schedule,” said Ting on Wednesday after visiting the site.

He hoped that more earth drains can be upgraded into concreate drains in the future at the village to prevent flash floods from occurring. — DayakDaily
