According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the body was found on the third day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation by fishermen.

The body was brought by firefighters to the jetty and handed over to the police for identification by the family.

It was initially reported in the report that the body was believed to be Aiman’s. However, it was later shared with the media in a Bomba WhatsApp group that the family was unable to identify the body.

The body will be brought by the police to be identified, and the SAR operation for Tuah and Aiman continues.

On Wednesday (Sept 3), at around 2pm, Aiman and Tuah went out to sea in Kabong to fish. By 5pm, heavy rain and rough waves had set in.

Both could no longer be contacted, leading to a police report being lodged at the Kabong Police Station on Thursday (Sept 4) at 6.49am to request search and rescue assistance.

Their boat was discovered drifting 5.5 nautical miles from the shoreline that day. — DayakDaily
