Unofficial: BN wins Tanjung Piai by a landslide

KUCHING, Nov 16: BN has crushed PH in the Tanjung Piai by-election according to unofficial results.

According to a visual posted by the Elections Commission on Twitter at 8.12pm, Barisan National’s (BN) Datuk Seri Wee Jeck Seng was leading with a majority of 14,123 with 23,621 votes over his closest contender Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) Karmaine Sardini with 9,498.

Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia’s Wendy Subramaniam was in third place with 1,586 votes while Parti Barisan Jemaah Islamiah (Berjasa) candidate Datuk Dr Badhrulhisham Abdul Aziz was in fourth with 790 votes.

Independents Dr Ang Chuan Lock and Faridah Aryani Abd Ghaffar received 350 and 30 votes respectively. — DayakDaily
