KUCHING, Aug 20: Unimas Business School (UBS) has received the Malaysia’s Best in International Mobility Programmes award at the Malaysian Education & TVET Awards (META) 2024 which took place at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on Aug 15.

Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Mustapha Sakmud presented the prestigious honour to Universiti Malaysia Sarawak’s (Unimas) deputy vice chancellor (Academic & International) Prof Dr Fitri Suraya Mohamad Hapni Joblie during the awards ceremony.

According to a press release, META is an annual awards program presented by ‘Education + TVET Asia,’ a publication authorised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, dedicated to recognising outstanding institutions and businesses within Malaysia’s education and vocational training industry.

Now in its second edition, META has firmly established itself as a key event on the nation’s education calendar, aiming to honour individuals, educational entities, and businesses excelling in the formal education sector, including technical and vocational education and training (TVET) service providers.

The award criteria encompassed key factors such as leadership, productivity, innovation, sustainability, brand excellence, program excellence, service excellence, product excellence, and start-up excellence.

“UBS’s recognition as Malaysia’s Best in International Mobility Programmes underscores its exceptional performance in this critical area.

“The achievement celebrated at META 2024 is a testament to the collaborative efforts of UBS chief executive officer Prof Dr Puah Chin Hong and the entire UBS team.
