The church, which was completed in May 2019, was consecrated on Sept 29 of the same year.

Regarded as among the biggest churches in the Samarahan district, it can accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers.

The church was also built to address the needs of Kota Samarahan’s growing population, as the church before it was unable to do so.

In addition, the church was also built with hopes of being able to accommodate ecumenical services like Combined Christmas Services and National Day Services, and other activities such as youth camps and gatherings. — DayakDaily
