Unifor approves a total of RM450,000 allocation for BEM Church in Miri

MIRI, Sept 5: A total of RM450,000 have been approved by Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) for Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Church in Miri, to upgrade its facilities.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew said Unifor has approved RM100,000 for the church to upgrade its facilities under Phase 1 of the allocation.

“In total, the amount of allocation contributed by Unifor to BEM Church in Jalan Airport is RM450,000.


“This include the existing allocation with the amount of RM350,000,” he said during a simple handing over ceremony of cheque to BEM Church, on Saturday (Sept 4).

Ting added if the church requires additional allocation, the management will need to make a new application for the year 2022 including with the process report and status of the projects implemented. – DayakDaily.
