Receiving the cheque on behalf of the church was Reverend Bina Agong, president of BEM Sarawak.

Ting, who is also the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak, stated that the funds are designated to aid the construction of a double-storey building, which commenced on April 15 this year.

The project is progressing well with a completion rate of 75.78 per cent as of November 13, and is on track for completion by February 15 next year.

“The allocation reflects the Sarawak government’s continued commitment to supporting places of worship and fostering religious harmony within the State,” Ting said. — DayakDaily
