Kuching, Nov 29: Youths from P216 Ulu Rejang parliamentary constituency would like the unity government led by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim to consider their GPS-PRS representative Wilson Ugak Kumbong to be appointed as a full minister in his new Cabinet.

A member of Persatuan Bangsa Sekepan, Belaga, Erick Drenner, said that Wilson Ugak has been entrusted three times as their representative since 2013 to fight for the progress and prosperity of the people in the parliamentary constituency.

“It is clear how much the people in Ulu Rejang need his services.

“The size of the parliamentary constituency, which is as large as the state of Pahang, also gave him a big challenge.

“That is why he should be appointed as a full minister. We hope that with his appointment as minister, there will be more funds allocated to the parliamentary constituency,” said Erick in a press statement today.

“I hope that the prime minister will make a fair judgment and this will reflect the true meaning of this unity government,” he added.

Sarawak Belaga Youth Club president Haider Kowel Bete said that by appointing Wilson Ugak as a full minister in the Cabinet, the prime minister would be truly practicing inclusivity.

“Doing so would reflect the hopes of the people of all races, ethnicities and religions in this country.

“Wilson Ugak represents the largest parliamentary constituency in Malaysia and his votes show the amount of support he has, especially from youths, through the implementation of Undi18 in the area,” he said. ā€” DayakDaily
