TYT, wife attend breaking fast ceremony in KL, presents donations to the needy

KUCHING, April 15: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib attended a breaking fast ceremony organised by Astana Sarawak State at a prominent hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (April 14).

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the ceremony was also attended by Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’aini Tun Tuanku Bujang.

During the ceremony, Taib and Raghad also presented donations in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations to 50 recipients.


A total of 300 invited guests from around Klang Valley area who attended the ceremony later joined together for Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers.

Also present were State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, Sarawak State Attorney-General Dato Sri Talat Mahmood Abdul Rashid, Sarawak Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar and other distinguished guests. — DayakDaily
