KUCHING, March 24: Yang di-Pertua of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, joined the faithful for the breaking of fast, Maghrib, Isyak and tarawih prayers on the first day of Ramadan held at the Astana Mosque here last night (March 23).
According to a media release today, the prayer service was led by Imam Besar Sarawak, Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
Among those invited to the prayer service were staff members of Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS), Islamic Development Department Sarawak (Jakim), Kuching Port Authority (KPA), Sarawak Government Pensioners’ Association, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Normah Medical Centre and community leaders from Kampung Lintang and Kampung Sg Bedil. — DayakDaily
