KUCHING, Feb 2: Sarawak Governor (TYT), Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, marked his birthday with a private dinner cruise aboard the Royal Kuching Cruise at the Kuching Waterfront on Sunday (Feb 1).
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the celebration was attended by TYT’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, as well as Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah arrived at around 8.30pm before the cruise set sail along the Sarawak River, allowing guests to enjoy night views of Kuching.
The programme began with a prayer recital, followed by dinner and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Guests were also shown a video presentation highlighting Wan Junaidi’s life journey and contributions to Sarawak throughout his service.
The event concluded with a group photo session before the Sarawak Governor and his wife departed. — DayakDaily
