KUCHING, June 7: Two workers’ quarters in Tatau District are among nine new locations placed under an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) today.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily Covid-19 update said the two workers quarters are at Woodman Plantation Sdn Bhd, Semanok Estate and Kem Gabong Trading.
“Both places are currently undergoing EMCO starting June 4 until June 17,” SDMC said.
A rented room above a shoplot near MDS Mart Samalaju in Bintulu has been placed under EMCO effective June 5 to 18.
Other areas put under EMCO are six longhouses in Bintulu (2), Sri Aman (2), Tatau (1) and Julau (1).
They are Rh Abong Madang@Medan, Nanga Tekalit, Tatau (June 4 to 17); Rh Clement Bayang, KM30, Jalan Bintulu-Tatau, Bintulu (June 6 to 19); Rh Setinggan Batu 6, Bintulu (June 6 to 19); Rh Bruen Kampung Banting, Sri Aman (June 6 to 19); Rh Entu Klampu, Engkelili, Sri Aman (June 7 to 20); and Rh Jeffery Mangan, nanga Entabai, Julau (June 7 to 23).
SDMC also ended the implementation of EMCO for five locations, namely Rh Aling Kampung Selepong Lop, Sri Aman (June 6); Rh Johnson Kampung Seduku, Sri Aman (June 6); Blok A, RPR Bandaria Park, Bintulu (June 7); Harwood Timber Sdn Bhd workers’ quarters, Bintulu (June 7) and Rh Sylvester Sg Sian, Bintangor, Meradong (June 9). — DayakDaily
