Two new suspected Covid-19 cases in Sarawak today

KUCHING, Feb 26: Two suspected Covid-19 cases were registered in Sarawak today (Feb 26).

The State Disaster Management Committee, in a statement today, informed that both the persons-under-investigation (PUI) cases were Malaysians and are presently been isolated in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

With the new cases, the total number of PUI cases in Sarawak have risen to 117 since Jan 10, comprising 93 Malaysians, 21 Chinese national as well as one Thai, one Indonesian and a Canadian.


Of the figure, 114 had tested negative while three (including one in Bintulu Hospital) are awaiting labpratory test results.

The Health Department too had screened a total of 13,814 arrivals to the state yesterday (Feb 25). This brings to a total of 221,417 arrivals screened at airports, land and sea entry points in the state since Jan 1.— DayakDaily
