“Continued investment in infrastructure and technology is crucial, and we are committed to creating an environment that fosters growth and development. The Sarawak government remains dedicated to improving the livelihoods of our people and creating opportunities for all,” he said in his text speech when officiating Lalamove’s first Driver Centre in Sarawak in Jalan Pending yesterday (Aug 8).

Lee commended the opening of the Kuching Driver Centre as a crucial step toward boosting regional economic growth and ensuring the local workforce is well-equipped to meet the demands of the evolving logistic services industry.

“Their achievements have not only revolutionised the delivery landscape but have also created numerous opportunities for local businesses and individuals.

“Lalamove’s integration of cutting-edge technology in their operations also aligns perfectly with Sarawak’s digital transformation agenda,” he added while expressing optimism on the positive impact the centre will have on the local community.

In a media release, Lalamove Malaysia managing director Jane Teh highlighted that the company is committed to being a part of Sarawak’s vision for economic expansion and digital transformation by empowering local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and creating income opportunities for driver-partners.
