KUCHING, Nov 4: A motorcyclist was killed in a suspected hit-and-run at Jalan Sultan Tengah, early this morning.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, said the victim was identified as Bustary Mohamad Ismail, 39, from Skim Jalan Pasir Pandak in Petra Jaya.
He disclosed the victim who was self-employed succumbed to head injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene by a medical team.
“The incident happened when the victim was on his way from Jalan Bandar Baru Samariang heading towards his home in Pasir Pandak.
“It is believed that the victim was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle and landed on the road side,” Alexson revealed in a press statement, today.
The body was brought to the hospital and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
