BINTULU, Feb 28: Traffic policemen have been reminded to always discharge their duties honourably and not to indulge in corrupt or criminal activities.

In giving this advice, state Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said public trust in the men in uniform must be safeguarded for the good of society in general and the police in particular.

“Treasure organisational values and principles, which are against any form of corruption,” he said when closing a basic course (Series 1/2019) for 54 traffic police officers from across the state here today.

The primary objective of the course, which started on Feb 25, was to enhance the knowledge of the participants in relation to their roles as traffic policemen. It was also aimed at improving their knowledge of traffic rules and regulations and also their skills in using information technology in their work. — DayakDaily
