Tourism Minister to promote Malaysia as ‘summer destination’ for Arab countries

KUCHING, Sept 10: Malaysian Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Minister Dato Seri Tiong King Sing is currently leading a working visit to the Middle East.

In a Facebook post today, he said the delegation will visit Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries with the aim to strengthen tourism ties with Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“Malaysia will be promoted as a main summer destination for Middle Eastern tourists, offering a cooler climate, world-class health resorts and refreshing highland holidays,” he said.

He also said the visit will give an emphasis on Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme, Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign and opportunities for cultural and religious tourism.

“Important agreements and cooperation are being strengthened to strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation,” he added. – DayakDaily
