KUCHING, Jan 6: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in seven districts throughout Sarawak this afternoon.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in an advisory issued at 3.25pm today, said the affected districts are Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, and Tatau.
According to the department, the adverse weather warning remains in effect until 7pm.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20mm/hour close to or expected to last for more than an hour. — DayakDaily
