KUCHING, May 5: The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued thunderstorm warnings to three districts in Sarawak, which are valid until 3pm.
According to an advisory notice released by MetMalaysia at 12pm today, Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song, Kapit, and Bukit Mabong), and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi) are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.
Based on the Facebook post, the warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with a downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
