KUCHING, June 10: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) extended thunderstorm warnings across some parts of Sarawak, with the thunderstorm to persist until 4pm.
According to the advisory notice released by MetMalaysia at 1pm, Kuching, Serian, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Mukah, Bintulu, Miri (Subis), and Limbang are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.
Based on the Facebook post, the warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with a downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
