Three more areas in Lubok Antu, Pakan and Lundu put under EMCO

KUCHING, June 12: Two longhouses and a village were announced being put under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) today.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement, they are Rh Jarop, Changkol, Lubok Antu (June 11 to 24); Kampung Sebandi Hilir, Lundu (June 12 to 25); and Rh Kintan, Merampu, Pakan (June 12 to 28).

SDMC also ended the implementation of EMCO at four areas today, namely, Rh Igar, Bukit Tungku, Sri Aman; Rh Tiut Usit, Sungai Setulan, Jalan Pesisir Kuala Tatau, Tatau; Foreign Lodge, Blok E9, Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu; and Local Lodge LL4, Bintulu.

Two more longhouses would also have EMCO lifted from their localities tomorrow and the following day, namely, Rh Japar/Rh Gasah, Nanga Kemalih, Julau (June 13) and Rh Lau, Rantau Pitak Entabai, Julau (June 14).

At the same time, SDMC also reported that Matu has returned to yellow zone from orange zone after recording only 12 cumulative local infection cases in the last 14 days.

At present, Sarawak has 29 red zones, two orange zones and nine yellow zones. There is no green zone in the State. — DayakDaily
