KUCHING, Jan 28: Road widening works will be carried out along Jalan Wan Abdul Rahman, near the Kuching District Police Headquarters, for a period of three months starting Jan 28, 2026, Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro) announced.
In a notification issued yesterday (Jan 27), Sarawak Metro said the construction works will take place daily, 24 hours a day, and are scheduled to continue until April 30, 2026.
The works are part of road widening efforts at the location, and road users have been advised to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area.
Motorists are also reminded to comply with all traffic management control measures, road warning signs, and speed limits to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.
Sarawak Metro said it will duly notify the public should there be any changes to the notification and encouraged road users to plan their journeys accordingly.
