KUCHING, Aug 17: A lorry driver and two passengers suffered minor injuries after being pinned inside the vehicle’s cabin following a crash along Jalan Kuching-Sri Aman.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received the call on Medical Emergency Rescue Services (MERS) 999 at 5.18am and deployed firefighters from the Sri Aman fire station to the location.
The operation commander at the location reported that the crash involved two lorries and that three victims were trapped inside one vehicle, while the other lorry has left the scene before the firefighters’ arrival.
Firefighters extricated the trapped victims before handing them over to medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH) for further action.
The firefighters also flushed accident debris from the road and ensured that the situation was under control before ending the operation at 7am. – DayakDaily
