MIRI, Aug 15: Two separate bushfire incidents were reported in Miri last night and early this morning, burning three acres of land.
The first bushfire happened at Kampung Bidayuh Lusut, damaging two acre of land.
Ten firefighters from the Lopeng fire station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call last night at 9.20pm.

They managed put out the fire at around 10pm.
Meanwhile, in the second incident, one acre of land was damaged by bushfire at Jalan Riam Miri.
Six firefighters from the Miri Central fire station rushed to the scene on a fire engine to put out the fire, after getting an alert at 3am today. The fire was successful extinguished. — DayakDaily
