The Pentecostal Night 2019 – new wave of revival in Dayak heartland

Mammoth crowd gathered for the inaugural Pentecostal Night 2019 held at Jubilee Grounds on Saturday Night (Sept 14, 2019).

KUCHING: Sept 15: More than 25,000 have packed the Jubilee Ground last night to participate in the celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the Pentecostal Night.

Thousands came from the outlying districts, from longhouses and villages across Sarawak.

Many of them arrived as early as Friday, having travelled hundreds of miles by bus or by their own vehicles to experience what two elderly women from Pakan, Elizabeth and Alice Lian described as – “a celebration of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of a new wave of revival in the Dayak heartland”.

The opening remarks and prayer by Dato Janang Bungsu, organising chairman of Pentecostal Night 2019 and the sermon by Pastor Philip Mantofa from Surabaya Indonesia were among the highlights of the night.

Both spoke powerfully of the importance of revival in the Dayak heartland and the need to stay committed and connected to the leading of the Holy Spirit in the life of the church and the believers.

The crowd size is expected to soar tonight, which is the final night, when healing and deliverance will take place. — DayakDaily
