KUCHING, July 20: Tanjung Manis is now a Covid-19-free district after reporting no new local infections in the last 14 days.
This brings the number of green districts in Sarawak to four, with the others comprising Limbang, Lawas and Daro.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said Tanjung Manis and Limbang currently have two active cases still being treated for Covid-19 respectively, while Lawas has one.
Apart from that, the committee reported that Asajaya and Sri Aman’s Covid-19 zone status had turned from orange to yellow, after recording only 17 and 14 local infections respectively in the last 14 days.
The other yellow districts are Kanowit, Dalat, Sebauh, Pakan, Matu, Simunjan, Julau, Kabong, Marudi, Pusa and Belaga.
Selangau, Song, Lubok Antu and Bukit Mabong remain orange districts while the other 19 districts in Sarawak are still categorised as red. — DayakDaily
