KUCHING, Nov 15: Major roads in Miri will be closed and traffic will be diverted for the Miri City 21 Half Marathon 2025 on Nov 16, which will run from 5am to 8am, featuring 21km and 4km categories.
Miri District Police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the race will start and finish at Miri City Hall.
“To facilitate the event, the Miri District Police will implement road closures and traffic diversions in phases,” he said in a statement today.
Temporary road closures will affect Jalan Marina Utama, Jalan Brighton, Jalan Luak/Esplanade and Jalan Melayu.
Traffic disruptions will also be experienced at key intersections and areas including Jalan Bandaraya, Marina 5, Marina 3, Marina 1, Marina 3/Jalan Kubu, Marina 1/Jalan Bendahara, Pullman roundabout, Tanjung, Luak, Jalan Aru, and Masjid Luak.
Mohd Farhan urged road users to cooperate fully to ensure smooth traffic flow and plan their travel routes in advance.
