KUCHING, Sept 23: Jalan McDougall to the Padang Merdeka junction has been temporarily closed since September 22 to facilitate preparations for the Maulidur Rasul parade.
According to a statement released today by Kuching’s police chief, ACP Ashmon Bajah, the closure began at 3 pm and will remain in effect until after the parade, which is scheduled for Sept 28, has concluded.
Furthermore, Ashmon mentioned that a rehearsal for the parade is scheduled for Sept 26, starting at 8 am and continuing until its completion.
He advised the public not to park their vehicles on the road shoulder to avoid obstructing traffic flow during this time.
