KUCHING, July 11: The four-lane dual-carriageway at Kampung Sibuluh along Jalan Bau to Batu Kawah will be closed temporarily tomorrow (July 12) from 10am to 12pm.
In an advisory notice, Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak said the road closure was implemented to facilitate the installation of steel box trusses for the overhead pedestrian bridge near SK Grogo.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey in advance and consider taking alternative roads through Bau town, Jalan Kuching-Bau and Jalan Stephen Yong (only for traffic from Kuching to Lundu) to get to their intended destinations.
Road users are also urged to exercise extra caution when approaching and driving along the area and comply with all traffic management instructions throughout the road closure duration while installation works are being carried out.
In the event of any changes to the date, time, or affected areas, the contractor will provide updates to the public.
