KUCHING, Nov 6: A section of Jalan Tun Jugah, opposite Gala City Commercial Centre, will be temporarily closed for one month from Nov 5 to Dec 6, 2025, to facilitate the construction of viaduct pillars for the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) project.
According to Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd’s (Sarawak Metro) social media post, the partial closure will be in effect around the clock throughout the period to enable the works to be carried out safely and efficiently.
Meanwhile, in a separate notice, the they announced another temporary partial road closure along Jalan Simpang Tiga, near Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, from Nov 5 to Nov 12, between 9pm and 5am daily, for trial pit works.
Sarawak Metro advised road users to exercise caution when driving in the affected areas and to comply with all traffic management measures, road warning signs, and speed limits to ensure public safety.
The public is also reminded to plan their journeys accordingly and to stay updated with the latest traffic announcements. Any changes to the closure schedule will be duly notified.
