KUCHING, Aug 6: The traffic light junction at Jalan Tun Jugah to Jalan Stampin will be closed temporarily for six months – from August 18, 2025 until February 2026 to allow for the construction of viaduct pillars for the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART).
According to a press statement, the temporary closure is to allow pillar works for the ART station along the Red Line alignment of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.
Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro) advised road users to drive carefully along this route, and to follow the traffic management measures and road signs that have been put in place.
Road users are also encouraged to take alternative routes to Jalan Stampin.
