KUCHING, June 24: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera (Tegas) signs memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (Cradle Fund) for a collaboration to assist Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) MyStartup program implementation in Sarawak.

MOSTI Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said this MoU was a MYStartup initiative where Tegas will represent MyStartup in Sarawak and Cradle will support start-up ecosystem development programs organized in Sarawak.

“The collaboration will complete the strategies and initiatives needed in order to implement the program.

“It will also ensure that startup companies’ capabilities can be developed to the international level and to the wider market,” he told reporters after officiating the MyStartup Eastern Region Roadshow Sarawak held at Tegas Digital Village in Sama Jaya High Tech Park, today.

Other MoUs sign by Tegas during the event are with those with Aerodyne Technology Sdn Bhd (Aerodyne), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Taylor’s University.

On the MoU with Aerodyne, Dr Adham said Aerodyne has agreed to work with Tegas in sharing what they already have on the world stage to ensure that Sarawakians are not being left behind in terms of the program’s progress.

He said at the same time, it will enhance Tegas’s ability to empower Sarawakian startup companies.

“Aerodyne will collaborate with Tegas, sharing their technical capability, as well as their research and development especially in the drone industry that we want to champion at the state, national and international levels,” he added. – DayakDaily.
